Variety of Dusky Moorhen calls, still awaiting classification into call types. One important trick will be to separate out flying birds and ensure these are given a particular call type. Would be good to find recordings from dry sites with no moorhens in earshot!
Evidence for identification
Comparison with knowledge of daytime calls. Would be worth making a definitive spectrogram graphic.
Confidence statement
Strong, but there are many borderline calls that are hard to be sure about; best to classify these as unknown.
Similar species / confusion risks
Brief calls that sound like Dusky Moorhen could come from a wide variety of other species, so care is needed.

Not completely confident with this one; need to check in context of recording. Feedback welcome.
